The circus comes to town every year to be part of the Azalea Festival Parade. The elephant walk is a nice tradition.

The Queen of Monkey Junction wearing a monkey mask. Monkey Junction is a neighborhood just south of Wilmington.
The parade was three hours and went in a circle down Third Street to Market Street and then up Second Street. The big finale to the parade was the grand combined marching parade that stopped to perform for the VIPs before Thalian Hall.
