Snow along the south coast of Korea, as it is in my native North Carolina, is a rarity. Wanting to enjoy a little bit before the end of winter, I went up to 구미 Gumi to go hiking in the snow.

I went to 금오산 Geumosan. At the base is a resevoir and 금오랜드 Geumo Land, a small amusement park. Having taken the bus, I had only a few hours in the afternoon to go hiking. I went up to a frozen waterfall and up past the ancient fortifications. I then took the cable car back down. It provided a nice view of the mountain and the small city. I kinda like the snow, even if it's just a little on a mountain.
