Lake District
12h17 Pre-trip Break
Marking the near-end of our year together, and the end of our lectures, we looked for a great adventure into the English countryside. We thought it would be a great weekend to drive down to Cornwall, but our minibus arrived a few hours late. So instead we agreed to head up to the Lake District.
We rest for lunch in the Morrison's car park. (Mohammad, Razvan, Touti from Madagascar, and Jiri)

It was a long day. We had a lot of fun and saw a lot. Stress, however, did creap into our group through the day and culminated in Blackpool. But, you spend a lot of time with people and you're bound to have a few bumps in the road.
Posting these pictures on 23 December 2008, I am quite happy to remember all my friends I have left from Europe. What I shall always remember from my time in England will be the time I spent with them. If I regret anything, it's not opening up more to them to form closer bonds. I do occassionally see their familiar faces in America, just to be disappointed it's no one I know. A famous man said "You can never return home", and my time with them was home for eight months in England.
